The Summit

The Global Partnership Summit endeavors to evolve the Old Development Model, which has now become saturated, into the Alternative Development Model, by changing the rules of development and taking an approach in which Energy efficiency, Environmental responsibility and Sustainability become the center and crux of development, thus empowering and integrating, both, the haves and the have-nots.

The First edition of GPS was known as the India Japan Global Partnership Summit (IJGPS).

Alternative Development Model

The new development framework is based on the principles of EES (Energy efficiency, Environmental responsibility and Sustainability.) Guided by the RME (which advocates a development centric diplomacy focusing on establishing Relationship first, forming Mechanisms together leading to Empowerment and vibrant Economy).

It is a consolidated, coherent & comprehensive framework that amalgamates the wisdom & experience of the Old Model and development frameworks of the New Model. Development mechanisms are consolidated all-inclusive operating systems. Without holistic ecosystem development, projects are unsustainable & only serve the short-term goals. We believe in the approach of framing an Ideology, shaping Systems to act as a foundation, & executing Products based on these systems and ideologies.

I only want to say that this Summit has been realized because of the energy of Mr. Vibhav Kant Upadhyay. As all of us know through his vision and missionary zeal, he makes unachievable and unthinkable possible. The Partnership spans a wide spectrum encompassing global, regional and bilateral aspects. This Summit is to create a roadmap for newer dimensions to take the process forward with renewed vigor.

This Summit has drawn a galaxy of highly accomplished leaders of private and corporate sectors. It is an eloquent testimony to a new dynamism that will analyze the participation of political and private sectors at such a Summit as equal partners and catalyst agents of change and innovation in our countries.
